Copy paste from phone to computer: 4 methods that actually work
You've got text on your phone and need it on your computer. A verification code from SMS. An address you want in Google Maps on desktop. A long URL that's painful to type manually. Here are your options, ranked by speed.
Method 1: Same-WiFi sync (fastest)
Open ClipboardSyncer on your phone browser. Paste your text. Click "Sync devices." Open ClipboardSyncer on your computer browser. Click "Sync devices." Text appears on your computer instantly.
Requirements: both devices on same WiFi. That's it. No app install, no login, no pairing process.
Speed: about 5 seconds total. Works between any phone (Android, iPhone) and any computer (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook).
Method 2: QR code
Paste text into ClipboardSyncer on your phone, click Export, choose "Generate QR Code." Your computer's webcam (or another phone) scans the QR to get the text. Good when devices aren't on the same WiFi.
Limitation: QR codes hold about 900 characters max. Fine for URLs and short text, not for long paragraphs.
Method 3: Message yourself
Send the text to yourself via WhatsApp, Telegram (Saved Messages), or email. Open the same app on your computer and copy from there.
Downsides: requires the app on both devices, need to be logged in on both, messages sit in your chat history permanently, takes more steps than sync.
Method 4: Cloud notes
Paste into Google Keep, Apple Notes, or similar. It syncs through the cloud. Open the same app on your computer.
Downsides: requires account login on both devices, sync can take a few seconds, overkill for a quick text transfer.

| Method | Speed | Account needed? | App install? |
