Paste it online: the quickest way to save and share text

Sometimes you just need to paste something somewhere safe. Not in a document. Not in an email to yourself. Just... somewhere you can grab it later. That's what an online paste tool is for.

Paste, save, done

Open ClipboardSyncer. Press Ctrl+V (or tap the Paste button on mobile). Your text appears in the text area. It's automatically saved in your browser. Close the tab, come back in an hour or a week, your text is still there.

That's the entire workflow. Three seconds from opening the page to having your text saved.

Why paste online instead of saving a file?

For temporary text, creating a file is overkill. You'd need to: choose where to save it, name it, open a text editor, paste, save. That's 5+ steps for something you might only need for 10 minutes. Pasting online is one step. And unlike a file, you can access it from your phone too.

What happens to your pasted text

It gets stored in your browser's localStorage. This is a storage area that every website gets access to on your device. It's not uploaded anywhere. It doesn't go to a server. It's entirely on your machine, tied to this specific browser. Clear your browser data and it's gone. Otherwise, it stays.

Share what you pasted

If you need the text on another device (your phone, a tablet, a colleague's laptop), click "Sync devices" on both devices. They need to be on the same WiFi network. Text syncs between them in real time through a WebSocket connection.

Or export it: download as .txt file, print to PDF, save as an image, or generate a QR code to scan from another device.

Privacy

Your text stays in your browser. The sync feature uses a temporary connection that doesn't store anything after you disconnect. No account means no data collection. We can't see what you paste because it never reaches our database.

That said, don't paste passwords or financial details into any online tool. Use a password manager for those.
